Job Description

Reporting to our Application Development Manager, the Senior .Net Developer (aka Application Developer III) will be responsible for developing backend solutions, using Microsoft technologies, in a high-performing delivery team. This position will be creating and supporting internally developed applications, while also extending or integrating third-party software. The Senior .Net Developer will support the software development life cycle from requirements gathering, technical design, change management, unit testing, user acceptance testing, and automated regression testing, through production release. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and modify complex software that is optimized for performance
  • Develop solutions utilizing Service Oriented Architecture and Microservice design principles in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Perform code reviews to enforce coding standards, code consistency, and to ensure adherence to application designs
  • Develop solutions using Web Service/API Technologies using server and cloud technologies
  • Interact with business areas and business analysts to clarify requirement-related issues, as needed
  • Optimize software configuration (includes application settings, data structures, reporting, defect repair, and alternative processes if required)
  • Maintain and supports existing software applications by identifying and resolves complex app issues and bugs
  • Periodic on-call support on a rotating schedule
  • After business hours production deployment and post-deployment support

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Military/other experience
  • At least 5 years experience in Software Development
  • 3+ years experience in the Microsoft technology stack (i.e. C#, .Net, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong consulting and collaboration skills
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only - no relocation
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building out CDN and CDI Azure pipelines
  • Experience working in Agile development methodology
  • Experience working with other backend programming languages such as PHP, Java, Ruby or Python is a plus, but not required

  • Experience in a Financial Services organization

Compensation

  • Annual salary of $102,200
