Reporting to our Director of Information Systems and Technology (“IST”), the Solutions Architect will be a member of the IST leadership team and will lead in the architecture, engineering, and development of our .Net based Point of Sale (POS) and supporting applications. In addition, s/he will constantly enhance the quality and configurability of the POS by staying in tune with enhanced software and cloud methodologies, new frameworks, and technologies. This is a great opportunity for a talented Systems Architect to contribute in all aspects of this highly strategic initiative, by delivering a best-in-class POS solution and by growing and mentoring a large delivery team with established best practices. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.


  • Lead in defining, documenting and developing software, as well as contribute to architecture, technical design discussions, code reviews and collaboration with the delivery team
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of business requirements and technical story writing
  • Provide expertise to identify and translate business requirements into software design documentation, diagrams, and execution strategies
  • Develop, monitor, and track the health of the POS with telemetry, data quality guards, and defensive programming techniques
  • Provide solution for technical debt including; assessment of new technologies, implementing POCs, nurturing CI/CD Build Pipeline, designing for QA Automation, and perpetual performance tuning
  • Evaluate software change requests, determine the business need or conducts root cause analysis, and implement technically efficient solutions
  • Assess the impact of software changes on POS and other systems, including conducting unit, integration, and automated tests to mitigate risks and minimize health impact
  • Design, run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing applications for the purpose of correcting errors and improving performance
  • Collaborate with team members on technical direction
  • Promptly escalate issues, which affect product delivery and quality that are beyond scope of influence
  • Establish best practices and policies for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting end-user access and usage of database applications
  • Report any real or suspected violation of the corporate compliance program, company policies, and procedures, harassment or other prohibited activities in accordance with the reporting policies of the company


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 7 years of experience in designing and developing enterprise-level applications using .NET, C#, WPF, WCF, MVC, and SOA or Microservices with Rest or SOAP and SQL Server
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Availability to be on-call after hours, as needed
  • Ability to work overtime hours, if required, to meet project deadlines
  • Ability to understand and maintain the organization's goals and objectives
  • Excellent knowledge of current protocols and standards
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future


  • Experience designing and developing C# based highly scalable web and WPF applications in .Net and .Net core and Client-side Technologies
  • Experience applying modern and cloud Design Patterns
  • Experience with analytical and decision science platforms, Power BI
  • Experience with quality automation, SmartBear TestComplete, CodedUI, Selenium
  • Experience working in cloud technologies, Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Experience in a financial environment preferred
