Job Description


Reporting to the Store Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk is part of a group that monitors and reconciles store bank accounts. Comprehensive “on-the-job" training is provided. Cottonwood Financial is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for 300 stores
  • Reconcile ACH transactions using Treasury Software
  • Research outstanding reconciliation items using a Point of Sale system
  • Prepare monthly journal entries to clear outstanding items
  • Utilize Excel skills on a daily basis to complete reconciliations
  • Cross-train as backup for other positions
  • Excellent PC skills including: Excel, Access and Windows
  • Proficient in ten key
  • Bank reconciliation experience
  • Working knowledge of Accounting fundamentals
  • Ability to multi-task accurately and efficiently
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics and Point of Sale system a plus
  • Must pass a credit and criminal background check
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are not able to sponsor H1B visas or hire students on F-1 visas for practical training (e.g. OPT and CPT)
  • Previous accounting experience
  • Experienced with working in a multi-state/store environment
  • $38,459 annually
