Job Description

Reporting to our Quality Assurance Manager, the Automation Engineer (a.k.a. Solutions Developer III) will be responsible for developing test automation suites for our Point of Sale echo-system. Using their experience with SmartBear TestComplete and Microsoft technologies, they will design, implement, and execute automated solutions at a scale that complements our existing test suite. In addition, the Automation Engineer will lend his/her experience and expertise in automation to support the software development life cycle (SDLC) from the early stages in requirements gathering, to user acceptance and regression testing, through production release. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop test automation architecture and solutions using SmartBear TestComplete and other tools to ensure the quality of deliverables
  • Build and validate automated scripts to integrate into a CI/CD pipeline for automation and reduce our time to market
  • Collaborate with product and integration development teams to enhance knowledge of business systems to better contribute to the architecture of testing suites and accompanying automation
  • Develop solutions using C#, .NET, SQL Server, Web Services/API Technologies, Microservices, and design principles
  • Support the Quality Assurance Manager throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Design dashboards to effectively communicate software test results to invested stakeholders
  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes and integration points to provide a more robust end to end testing automation
  • Document and maintain test automation scripts, architecture and processes
  • Partner with QA analysts to build RTMs and Test plans
  • Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 5 years of work experience using the full Microsoft stack (C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Experience in BDD and building a full automation suite
  • Successful implementation of a large automation suite using SmartBear TestComplete
  • Experience in automated testing for UI (WPF, WinForms, Web Pages, Console), Web Services (REST/SOAP), and Unit Tests
  • XML/JSON building, parsing, and shredding
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Automation Testing Tools like UI Path, Coded UI, Selenium, Cucumber or HP TestCenter
  • Experience automating WPF and web application testing
  • Visual Studio 2013/2015/2017/2019
  • Experience working in cloud technologies, Azure/AWS/GCP
  • TFS Version control system/Git Version control System
  • TFS Test Explorer/DevOps

COMPENSATION

  • Annual salary of $97,400
