Job Description

Reporting to our Corporate Collections Department Manager, the Administrative Clerk will have a wide range of high level administrative, clerical and support-related responsibilities. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to expand his/her administrative/clerical skills by supporting the Corporate Collections Department across all aspects of the operation. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.  Cottonwood Financial is an Equal Opportunity Employer. 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • General duties include: creating and managing spreadsheets; uploading and downloading files using a variety of media; word processing; account maintenance across multiple systems and platforms; fielding telephone calls; filing; processing mail, email and faxes

  • Coordinating tasks and timelines with multiple team members and other departments

  • Assisting with special projects as designated

  • Maintaining and developing departmental procedures



COMPENSATION


  • $16.75 per hour

Job Requirements

REQUIREMENTS


  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent

  • 2 years previous experience in a fast-paced administrative/clerical role

  • 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Comfort with creating and modifying spreadsheets using formulas

  • Strong time-management skills; ability to organize and prioritize quickly, accurately and effectively; and to adjust to changes in an efficient and effective manner

  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Meticulous attention to detail

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency

  • Capability of communicating and working effectively with multiple personalities and communication styles

  • Able to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality

  • Ability to work Monday thru Friday (between 7am and 5pm). Occasional weekend work may be required

  • Must pass a credit and criminal background check

  • Must meet minimum performance and attendance standards

  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • 4+ years of experience in call-center administrative/clerical role

  • Certification in MS Excel and other MS Office products

  • Skilled in Excel functions such as graphing, concatenating, merging, pivot tables, etc.

  • Experience with SQL.

  • Notary
