Job Description

The Human Resources clerk is part of an enthusiastic and motivated team of professionals that is responsible for performing Human Resource activities for new hires, benefit enrollment, and supporting current employees. 'On the job' training is provided. Cottonwood Financial is an Equal Opportunity Employer. 


  • Process new hire and termination paperwork, along with updating the applicable systems

  • Responsible for health insurance and 401k enrollment

  • Process new employee credit, MVR and criminal background checks

  • Process verification of employment requests

  • Provide information to the State Unemployment Departments 

  • File and maintain Human Resource Personnel files

  • Projects as assigned by Manager


  • Medical, Dental, & Vision

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent

  • 1+ year in general office environment

  • Prior experience in Human Resources is preferable

  • Excellent PC skills, including: Excel, Word, and Windows

  • Must pass a credit and criminal background check

  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only - no relocation

  • We are not able to sponser H1B visas at this time

  • Ability to work within a group and alone

  • Ability to multitask and stay focused in a busy atmosphere
