Reporting to our Director of Portfolio Delivery, the Senior IT Project Manager will support project delivery teams within the fast-paced Application Development team. The Senior IT Project Manager will leverage both skill and experience leading project teams to ensure the successful and timely delivery of business solutions. This person is a critical member of the core delivery teams and is empowered to help build high performing teams, build shippable product, and responsible for leading Agile project coordination to support various upstream and downstream teams. The Senior IT Project Manager will be leading critical projects and working closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure project standards, methodology and best practices are followed and consistently applied
  • Lead project teams and related implementation activities through all project phases
  • Leverage problem-solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
  • Manage project scope, budget and change control process
  • Develop detailed project plans that define key activities, timelines and resource requirements
  • Support clients with requirements definition, project definition, and project planning
  • Assist with analysis, design, testing, system documentation and user training
  • Maintain relationships with key business and IT stakeholders and manage expectations
  • Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
  • Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of commitments
  • Develop initial business case, cost-benefit analysis, and project implementation strategies
  • Provide periodic status reports to Executive Sponsors and Senior Management
  • Interact and communicate with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
  • Facilitate impediment resolution in a timely, cost-effective manner
  • Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of business processes and applications, customer needs and priorities
  • Drive projects based on defined priorities; ensure the scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and/or escalate as needed
  • Identify ways to improve and streamline business process
    Work with product owners and delivery teams to groom stories in advance of each sprint
  • Schedule and facilitate daily stand up meetings
  • Facilitate retrospective meetings and ensure highest priority retrospective points are followed up on and closed out
  • Monitor team backlog and ensure it accurately reflects the current state, including time to be burned and status
  • Coordinate as needed with other PM's, Resource Managers, or Portfolio Managers to coordinate the delivery of non-development components
  • Manage business relationships with other component teams necessary for product release
  • Be a conduit to other teams and LOBs with which the team is interacting
  • Quickly adapt to changing demands

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Military/other experience
  • At least 7 Years of technology experience
  • At least 3 Years of Project Management experience
  • Experience leading Agile teams
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional client relations skills
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, rapidly changing business and technical environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong consulting and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in “grey space” and able to move forward when faced with ambiguity
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or CST (Certified Scrum Trainer)
  • PMP or Master’s Certificate of Project Management (CPM)
  • IT Project Management Experience
  • Prior Systems Analysis experience
  • Client management experience
  • Conversion and/or integration project experience
  • Experience in a Financial Services organization

  • Annual salary of $107,000
