Cottonwood Financial Services is hiring a Test Automation Engineer III (aka Senior Test Automation Engineer) that will be responsible for developing test automation suites to support our custom developed applications. Here at Cottonwood, we operate very quickly and time to market is imperative for projects that affect income. Using your experience in test automation and software engineering, you will design, implement, and execute automated solutions at scale that complement our existing test suite and leveraging existing test automation tools. In addition, you will use your experience and to support the software development life cycle (SDLC) from the early stages in requirements gathering, to user acceptance and regression testing, through production release. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop test automation architecture framework and solutions using JavaScript and SQL Server, Transact SQL (TSQL)
  • Build and validate automated scripts to integrate in a CI/CD pipeline for automation and reduce our time to market in Azure DevOps/Octopus Deploy
  • Collaborate with product and integration development teams to enhance knowledge of business systems to better contribute to the architecture of testing suites and accompanying automations
  • Develop testing solutions exercising Web Services/API Technologies, Microservices, and design principles in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Design dashboards to effectively communicate software test results to invested stakeholders
  • Develop a deep understanding of business processes and integration points to provide a more robust end to end testing automation
  • Document and maintain test automation scripts, architecture, and processes
  • Partner with QA analysts to build RTMs and Test plans
  • Foster a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to other members of the Test Automation team

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Military/other experience
  • At least 5 years of work experience in any of the test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, SmartBear TestComplete, UI Path, Coded UI, QTP and/or UFT
  • At least 3 years of work experience using JavaScript and SQL Server
  • Experience in automated testing for UI (WPF, WinForms, Web Pages, Console), Web Services (REST/SOAP), Postman/Soap UI, and Unit Tests
  • Experience in XML/JSON building, parsing, and shredding
  • Successful implementation of a large automation suite using industry-standard automation tool(s)
  • Experience in building and maintaining automation frameworks supporting multithreaded execution in DevOps CI/CD
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 1 year of manual QA testing experience
  • JavaScript or any programming language certification is a plus
  • Familiarity with Visual Studio 2013/2015/2017/2019
  • Experience working in cloud technologies, Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Experience with TFS Version control system/Git Version Control System
  • Experience with TFS Test Explorer/DevOps
  • Agile methodology experience (Agile, Scrum, SAFe, etc)
  • Strong technical troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational and critical thinking skills
