Job Description

Reporting to our Solutions Development Manager, the Software Developer III (a.k.a. Solutions Developer III) position will be responsible for developing solutions using Microsoft technologies in this highly strategic delivery team. This position will be creating/supporting internal applications/processes and extending or enhancing third party software, including the Point of Sale echo-system. In addition, this experienced Solutions Developer will support the software development life cycle from requirements gathering, technical design, change management, unit testing, user acceptance testing, and automated regression testing through production release. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop solutions using C#, .Net, .Net Core, SQL Server, Transact SQL (T-SQL)
  • Develop solutions utilizing Service Oriented Architecture and Microservice design principles in a hybrid cloud environment
  • Perform code reviews to enforce coding standards, code consistency, and to ensure adherence to application designs
  • Develop solutions using Web Service/API Technologies using server and cloud technologies
  • Mentor team members in the areas of best practices, coding standards, and new technologies
  • Maintain existing internal and external software applications
  • Track unit/integration/automated test results and report status to management
  • Optimize software configuration (includes application settings, data structures, reporting, defect repair, and alternative processes if required)
  • Conduct requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders and develop business, technical requirements, and test plans
  • Communicate technical solutions to non-technical end-users
  • Work with other departments to coordinate the implementation of new software and accompanying processes
  • Provide thorough documentation of code, systems, policies, and procedures

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 6 years of work experience using the full Microsoft stack (C#, .Net, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL Server, etc.)
  • Experience with Complex software design and architecture
  • Experience with Complex SQL objects and relational databases design
  • Experience with Agile & Scrum Methodologies
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, defensive programming techniques, and computer science foundations
  • Propensity to learn and invest time to further advance technological skillsets
  • Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization, as well as understand and explain procedures in writing or verbally
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience designing and developing C# based highly scalable web and WPF applications in .Net and .Net core and Client-side Technologies
  • Experience applying modern and cloud-based Design Patterns
  • Experience with quality automation, SmartBear TestComplete, CodedUI, Selenium
  • Experience working in cloud technologies, Azure/AWS/GCP
  • Experience in creating a Rules Engine and Configurable Systems
  • Experience in a financial environment preferred
