Job Description

This fast-paced, hands-on leadership position reports to our CIO and is responsible for infrastructure systems and network implementation oversight.  Managing a team of technical support staff, the Technology Manager is responsible for supporting critical infrastructure as well as providing solutions to technical challenges.  This key position also manages external IT vendors and has direct contact with internal department leaders. This position is based at our Administrative Office (HQ) in Irving (Las Colinas), Texas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Supervise and assist in the administration of the following technologies:
    • Microsoft Windows 2008 R2, 2012 and 2016, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, WSUS

    • VMware vSphere

    • Citrix XenApp

    • Enterprise backup software and methodology

    • Telephony system, including call routing and phone setup

    • Microsoft desktop operating systems and Office applications

    • Microsoft Azure, AWS and/or other cloud-based platforms



  • Manage helpdesk technicians, end-user computing technicians, network administrators, and system administrators:
    • Develop and implement documentation policies and procedures

    • Ensure end-user satisfaction through prompt resolution of trouble tickets

    • Create training strategies for helpdesk personnel



  • Architect hardware and software solutions on local and co-located data center topologies

  • Develop plans for network and system growth

  • Oversee change management for enterprise systems

  • Configure and maintain other 3rd party desktop configurations, including accounting and timekeeping software

  • Troubleshoot network issues (WAN and LAN), FTP, and VPN. Knowledge of TCP/IP and DNS, switch configuration and general network setup

  • Annual salary of $95,000

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of management experience

  • 5+ years of experience administering infrastructure and network systems (preferably retail industry)

  • Windows, Citrix, SQL, Script writing experience

  • Microsoft SQL Server platform and database administration familiarity 

  • Strong work ethic 

  • Local (Dallas/Fort Worth area) candidates only – no relocation

  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and not require sponsorship in the future

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


  • Experience adapting to rapidly changing environments and developing/documenting IT operational procedures, documentation and related operations framework

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (capable of explaining simple procedures in writing or verbally; good phone skills)

  • Ability to work with all levels of management internal and external to the company and deliver first-class customer service

  • Extensive systems and network troubleshooting skills

  • MCSE certification

  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate problem-solving skills

  • Understanding and implementation of process, security, standards and change control framework

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills; structured thinker

  • Ability to prioritize based on business and technical needs
